The Terrebone Parish Clerk of Court Building, located at 7856 Main Street in Houma, LA, was constructed between 1937-1938 on the same historic site which included two previous court house structures that once were a resting stop to Civil War Union Soldiers and their horses. National Flood Barrier installed Flood Panel, LLC Flood Logs over 7 openings, for a total of 240LF at 4′ high on the annex building located there. Located at Bayou Terrebonne and the Intercoastal Waterway, the entire Parish area is in major jeopardy of regular flooding by rising sea levels and hurricanes hitting the Gulf Coast.
